Commercial banks are where most people and businesses bank. This is retail banking.
The commercial banks don’t want central banks stealing away all their business by offering wholesale AND retail CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency).
So, is this a glimmer of hope for the future? Is the power of all those commercial banks, credit unions, and other competing money enough to stand up to a global central bank retail CBDC?.
